Today by 5 PM – Grading Mode Change Deadline

For courses with a “Student Option” grading mode, the deadline to change the grading mode is Wednesday, 2/21, at 5:00p.m.

To review the grading modes for the courses in your schedule, login to WesPortal and click on “Class Schedule.”  The “Grade” column will indicate the current grading mode for the course.  For courses that are “Student Option,” a drop down menu is available through which the grading mode can be changed.

A paper form is no longer required to change grading mode.

Note Updated Info – Check Your Diploma Name Now – System will close on Sunday, April 22nd at 11:59pm.

To ensure that your full legal name is spelled correctly on your diploma, we are asking you to confirm your diploma name.  Please confirm your name as soon as possible.

In your WesPortal under ‘My Information’ click on Diploma Name. The name that we currently have on file will be displayed on this page.  If your name is correct, please click on Confirm/Update button at the bottom of the page.  If your name is not correct, please make any necessary corrections before selecting the Confirm/Update button.

Please note that you will only be able to update your name once per day – if you confirm your name in error, you will need to return to the page the following day to make any corrections.

If your name contains special characters or accents, please confirm the spelling of your name without the characters or accents.  In order to make sure that the special characters or accents appear correctly on your diploma, you will be asked to link to the Special Character Diploma Name Confirmation form and send it to the Registrar’s Office.

To make a correction to your legal name for all other university records, you will need to bring a form of legal identification (birth certificate, passport, driver’s license, or legal name change document if your name has been legally changed) to the Registrar’s Office.

The diploma name system will close on Sunday, April 22nd at 11:59pm.

Course Withdrawal Deadline 11/25

The last day to withdraw from full-semester and second-quarter classes for the Fall 2014 semester is Tuesday, November 25. Completed forms are due in the Registrar’s Office by 5:00 p.m. and must include the following signatures: instructor, faculty advisor, and class dean.
If you are thinking about withdrawing from a course:
• Do use this time to talk to your professors, your advisors, and me about your concerns. If you can’t make my drop-ins, please email me at mmelendez@wesleyan.edu or call me at x2765 to schedule an appointment.
• Do make sure you are taking advantage of all the resources available to you.
• Do get the signatures of your instructor and advisor on your drop/add form. I cannot sign for either without his or her permission, so please save yourself the trouble of waiting to see me during drop-ins just for me to tell you that.
• Do not wait until Tuesday at 4:00 p.m. to see me or you may find yourself waiting in a very long line!!!

Grading Mode Option Deadline 9/26 at 5pm

The deadline to change the Grading Mode of courses designated as “Student Option” is Friday, 9/26 at 5pm. If you wish to change the Grading Mode of a course for which this option is available, you must submit a Drop/Add/Withdrawal/Change of Grading Mode form to the Registrar’s Office by the 9/26 5pm deadline. Simply provide your name, wesid, subject/catalog/section information for the course and desired grading mode, and submit the form to the Registrar’s Office on the first floor of North College. Instructor and Faculty Advisor signatures are NOT required for grading mode changes.
