Andrea Patalano (Department Chair) will provide an overview of the major to sophomore prospective majors and to review requirements with junior and senior majors. – There will be an information session for Wesleyan’s Civic Engagement Certificate on Friday, April 3 at 12pm in Allbritton 311. This is an excellent opportunity to ask current CEC students about their experiences, learn about upcoming courses, and get ideas for fulfilling the certificate’s practicum and community service requirements. Lunch will be provided.
Academic Credit for Internships!
Wesleyan has three options for granting credit for an internship experience: Education in the Field, Independent Study, and the Quarter Credit option. Please note that some academic departments do not offer credit for internships.
PLAN NOW! DON’T DELAY!
The deadline for housing accommodation requests is next week. I have sent two emails to students, but could we also have this published on your class blogs? Thank you!:
Students requesting a specific housing accommodation due to a disability for 2015/16 must complete a Housing Accommodation Request Form and submit it to Dean Patey, Disability Resources, (North College – Room 021), no later than Thursday, February 12, 2015. This includes students who have previously requested and been approved for a housing accommodation in the past.
Housing assignments which are provided as an accommodation are only provided to students with documented disabilities. Please note that housing accommodations do not include current or potential roommates. Housing offers may not necessarily be considered class appropriate, or represent your first choice in housing, but will address your needs.
If you have any questions about the process, please contact Dean Patey at email@example.com or 860.685.2332.
Don’t miss your opportunity to participate! Registration for classes, housing, and dining closes the day you come back from Thanksgiving break (December 1 – at noon).
You can find the form for Winter Session, as well as links to sign up for dining and housing, in your Eportfolio (EP>Student>Winter Session>Registration Form) or http://www.wesleyan.edu/wintersession/enroll.html. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me, your advisor, or the Winter Session office at firstname.lastname@example.org.
