Fall 2015 Section: 01
Crosslisting: THEA 291

This course offers students the opportunity to put their language skills in motion by discovering French and Francophone theater in general, and acting in French in particular. This transhistorical course will introduce students to acting techniques while allowing them to discover the richness of the French and Francophone dramatic repertoires. A particular emphasis will be placed on improving students’ oral skills through pronunciation and diction exercises. The course will culminate in the performance of the students’ work at the end of the semester. Based on the “cours d’interpr├ętation,” and offered exclusively in French, this course gives French language students a chance to improve language skills and discover the art of acting.
